Is it time for a new career?

My Dad is full of advice.  If you have ever met him, you will quickly know that he missed his calling as a motivational speaker!

I say that *slightly* sarcastically, but the truth is he has taught me quite a lot.  I remember, being young and heading off to college, I had no idea what I was doing.  Dad must have sensed I was nervous about what I would do and where that would go.  He said, "When you are face to face with a big goal, it may feel like a mountain. But, if you break it down into smaller steps, they are not all so hard".  As a young person, this made everything so much simpler.

In Colorado, we have a lot of hikers and mountain climbers.  I am NOT one, but I can only imagine the feeling of parking at the trailhead before dawn, and knowing you have 8 hours of climbing, up and down, ahead of you.  Well, getting in the car and driving to the mountain was not step 1!! While some people do this, they risk death, and it's not advised! Most people plan and prepare by working out, researching what gear to pack, and preparing for all possible conditions.  The same is true for making a career change.  It may involve getting a new education, training, and licenses.  You may need to pick a specialty or new field.  All of this takes time and planning.

If you have ever thought about becoming a real estate agent, or are just interested in all of the different things you can do in this industry, let's have coffee! Consider that step 1.  What you do after that, well, that's up to you!

EXIT Realty has a great program for new agents, as well as building a lasting legacy.  Click here to learn about the EXIT Formula!
