Is Your Formal Room a Place to Collect Mail??

If you are like me, your formal dining room is a relic from the 1990's, and it's just a place to store grandma's bone china!  The truth is, new home builders began eliminating formal living spaces from floor plans years ago.  Today's young homebuyers are not interested in more things.  In fact, the market for the fine china of our grandmother's past has been in great decline as younger generations decide  to spend their money on experiences, not things, and look to live simpler, more free lifestyles.  They are choosing homes with open floor plans, and more casual living spaces.  Who ever actually sits in a formal room anyway? We all know the party is in the Kitchen!

Enter 2020!  Everyone is aware of the impact COVID-19 has had on our lives, and especially our working arrangements.  Working from home has become a necessity, and many believe it is here to stay.  With that, some people are choosing to move.  Some because they no longer have to live close to work, and others because now they need space for work and home schooling.  If you are in this boat, please let me know - I would love to help.

I have chosen a different route and have kicked off a project to turn my dining space into a multi-purpose room.  It will be my workspace, but still easily reconfigured for dining when needed.  Click on this link (https://www.instagram.com/p/CFAUI4dj7k5/?igshid=lfhd2dqwfyg0 to see our video, and don't forget to follow me on Instagram for more updates and fun ideas for your own home!
